La lógica ilógica de Catch-22

“He was going to live forever, or die in the attempt.” “Catch-22” de Joseph Heller es una novela satírica situada en la isla ficticia Pianosa cerca de Italia durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Harper Lee, autora de “To Kill a Mockingbird”, comenta sobre el libro “Catch-22 is the only war novel I’ve read that makes any sense”. Su título ha pasado a los diccionarios como una frase común para denotar una lógica burocrática que no tiene salida. Aquí el razonamiento de Catch-22 en la novela: “There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one’s own safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind.
